Beijing Higher People's Court's report about IP cases of 2014

On 18 April 2015, the Beijing Higher People’s Court released a report summarizing IP cases of 2014 and publicized the ten most prominent IP cases handled by Beijing courts in 2014.

The Beijing courts witness a 15.99% increase in the volume of new IP cases amounting to 11,232 first-instance cases in 2014, and handed decisions for about 10,930 IP cases of all instances with increase by 15.51% compared to 2013. Overall, Beijing has become a prominent city in China that has increasingly values the importance of IPR protection in China. Due to the new IP courts and a more professional body of IP judges, Beijing is indeed an ideal venue for foreign business to enforce IPR in China.
